The Briarcliff Manor is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Banquet Manager and Maitre D'.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 10+ years of experience in banquet operations
  • 10+ years of leadership experience
  • 5+ years of sales expertise

The selected individual will oversee event execution, manage the team during setup, and ensure smooth operations throughout the event. The Banquet Manager Maitre D' will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and overseeing all event logistics.
  • Ensuring exceptional hospitality and communication with guests.
  • Managing guest arrivals, seating arrangements, and departures.
  • Training hosts and maintaining operational standards.
  • Leading by example to foster a positive work environment.

This role also includes conducting sales tours and coordinating events.

The Maitre D' will maintain regular communication with key vendors and industry contacts.

Availability for weekends and evenings is required, along with designated office hours.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing all service aspects, catering processes, and dining room arrangements.
  • Managing vendor relationships.
  • Scheduling staff, conducting interviews, and training new team members.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and exceeding client expectations.
  • Handling inventory and placing orders.
  • Conducting sales tours and maintaining client communication.
  • Collaborating with the sales, office, and kitchen teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Supervising maintenance and cleaning protocols.
  • Meeting with clients to guarantee satisfaction.
  • Providing management with feedback and reports.
  • Assisting with additional projects as needed.

Qualifications:
  • 10 years of banquet management experience and 10 years of leadership experience.
  • 5 years of sales experience.
  • Demonstrated event management capabilities.
  • Ability to accept guidance and feedback from management.
  • Strong time management and communication skills.
  • Sales acumen and the ability to cultivate business relationships.
  • Capacity to independently manage multiple projects.
