Overview of the Role:
As a Substance Abuse Counselor I, you will play a crucial role in enhancing community well-being by delivering rehabilitative services within the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDT).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide therapeutic services through both group and individual counseling sessions.
- Execute program curricula utilizing diverse therapeutic methodologies.
- Engage with participants on a daily basis and assist in formulating treatment and action plans.
- Monitor and document participant progress while ensuring meticulous record-keeping.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members and partake in ongoing training initiatives.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a Registered or Certified AOD Counselor.
- Active AOD Certification or Registration from a recognized certifying body.
- Understanding of the causes, symptoms, and impacts of substance abuse.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Familiarity with MS Office Suite and ARMS is advantageous.
- Capacity to uphold professionalism and confidentiality.
- Dedication to ethical practices and the welfare of participants.
