Role Summary:

We are in search of a dedicated and detail-oriented investigator to become part of a worldwide team within AMD's Ethics & Compliance division, reporting directly to the Director of Compliance Investigations. This position involves navigating a dynamic environment with a variety of responsibilities. You will engage directly with employees across all levels, conducting moderate to complex investigations, and supporting initiatives related to product protection.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate is a thorough and persistent individual committed to uncovering the truth. As an analytical thinker, you will take charge of investigations from start to finish. Exceptional listening abilities, skill in conducting interviews, and the capacity to remain composed in high-pressure situations are essential. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must, along with a high level of comfort in utilizing various technologies. Above all, this role requires a passion for problem-solving and a collaborative approach to achieving shared objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute sensitive investigations, investigative support operations, and projects of varying complexity.
  • Conduct corporate investigations related to allegations against AMD's Worldwide Standard of Business Conduct and other policies, including issues of employment discrimination, harassment, retaliation, fraud, corruption, theft, insider threats, and conflicts of interest.
  • Perform physical security audits and security assessments to ensure compliance with company product protection standards and adhere to relevant supply chain security standards.
  • Develop investigative strategies, interview witnesses, review documentation, and compile findings into comprehensive reports.
  • Utilize experience and problem-solving capabilities to enhance and refine processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with various Business Unit functions, including Internal Audit, Legal, HR, Security, Procurement, and Global Operations.
  • Communicate effectively with law enforcement and government officials to gather information pertinent to investigations.
  • Present investigation outcomes and inquiries in a clear and concise manner for review by executive management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in interviewing individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures, with a focus on documenting results in case management systems.
  • Strong understanding of investigative techniques, methodologies, and legal frameworks.
  • Proven ability to document investigative findings in well-structured reports and convey complex issues simply.
  • Exhibit objectivity and empathy when interacting with employees and witnesses.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with peers and stakeholders across the organization.
  • Track record of managing multiple investigations simultaneously while prioritizing critical tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Strong ethical decision-making skills with a commitment to integrity and compliance.
  • Proficiency in utilizing investigative tools and technologies, including computer forensics software and data analysis programs.

Educational Background:

  • A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, criminology, business administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
