Job Overview

Position – Construction Inspector in Arizona

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate detailed reports outlining project progress, challenges faced, and overall outcomes.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of construction materials, methodologies, and relevant standards.
  • Conduct inspections of materials prior to installation, ensuring all necessary certifications and laboratory reports are provided.
  • Perform sampling and testing of materials as required.
  • Guide contractors in addressing any non-compliance issues related to safety, traffic management, and site maintenance.
  • Exhibit strong written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience with projects for Department of Transportation (DOT) agencies is preferred.
  • Understanding of construction material sampling and testing techniques; relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management, or a High School diploma with 5 years of relevant construction inspection experience.
  • Experience in horizontal transportation projects, vertical building construction, or utility projects, including large waterline installations.
  • A valid driver’s license with no restrictions that would hinder travel to project sites.
  • Willingness to occasionally stay overnight for remote project assignments.
  • OSHA 10-hour certification is required.
  • Certifications such as ICC, ACI, or AASHTO are beneficial.
