Lead Hardware/Software Technician

Chenega MIOS SBU is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Hardware/Software Technician to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, testing, and troubleshooting hardware and software problems with our SSP network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hardware and Software Support: Provide expert-level support for all hardware and software issues related to our SSP network.
  • Network Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, including VPN problems with SSP-furnished equipment.
  • Software Research: Research and troubleshoot issues with various software applications.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with other onsite contractors to manage and contain network spillages.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage IT projects independently, including budgeting and decision-making.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records and documentation of IT configurations, changes, and incidents.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate degree or bachelor's degree (preferred) from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: 5+ years of IT systems support experience.
  • Certifications: CompTIA Certification A+, Network+, or Security+.
  • Clearance: Secret clearance required.
