Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Service Team Member to join our team at Michaels Stores. As a Service Team Member, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience, and maintaining a well-merchandised store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide friendly and personalized service to customers, helping them find products and solutions to meet their needs.
  • Ensure a fast and efficient checkout experience, executing cash handling procedures to standards.
  • Engage customers on the benefits of our Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards, and complete enrollments as needed.
  • Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey and encourage participation.
  • Assist with Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
  • Participate in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes to maintain a well-stocked and visually appealing store environment.
  • Responsible for completing merchandise recovery and maintenance, including the merchandise return/go back process and general store recovery.
  • Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
  • Support shrink and safety programs, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Interact with colleagues in an accepting and respectful manner, remaining positive and respectful even in difficult situations.
  • Cross-trained in Custom Framing selling and production.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
Work Environment
  • Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to move throughout the store.
  • Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.
  • Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
  • Public retail store setting with climate-controlled areas and some outdoor work.
