GENERAL FUNCTION
The Optical Team Supervisor plays a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering outstanding service. This position is responsible for ensuring that customers and patients leave delighted, while also contributing to the overall success of the store by managing key optical and lab processes to achieve exceptional results.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
While working in Retail:
- Ensure the LensCrafters team provides unmatched customer service.
- Demonstrate proactive problem-solving skills and thorough product knowledge.
- Assist customers with their selections, offering recommendations and supporting sales associates.
- Act as a responsible alternate store key holder.
While working in Lab, if applicable:
- Accurately fit glasses and ensure precise placement of prescriptions in lenses.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance their knowledge and skills related to lens and lab technology.
- Guarantee that finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer specifications.
- Foster a safe working environment by adhering to safe work practices.
- Oversee the basic operation, cleaning, and maintenance of lab tools and systems.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or GED.
- Strong background in optical and retail environments.
- Knowledge of current optical theories and merchandise.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficient in basic mathematics.
- Sales proficiency.
- Effective problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with cash registers, computers, and calculators.
- Experience in leadership and training.
- Knowledge of edging and mounting processes.
- Basic understanding of optics and optical measurements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- State licensure (if applicable) and/or ABO Certification in non-licensed states.
- Certification as a LensCrafters Final Eyewear Inspector.
- Completion of the LensCrafters Quality, Fitting & Adjusting Program.
- Experience with optical machinery and instruments.
- Customer service experience.
- Certification in the AccuFit Digital Measurement System.
- Familiarity with current store merchandise and lens options.
Pay Range:
Employee compensation is determined by various factors, including geographic location, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. Additionally, a competitive bonus and/or commission plan may be offered, complementing a comprehensive total rewards package.
