La Posada de Santa Fe: A Dynamic Team Seeks Enthusiastic Teacher Aide

We are seeking a reliable and upbeat part-time Teacher Aide to join our dynamic team at La Posada de Santa Fe. As a Teacher Aide, you will assist with all aspects of caring for the children enrolled in our program under the direction of the Lead Teacher.

Essential Functions:
  • Assist in implementing the daily program under the supervision of the Lead Teacher, adhering to the policies and philosophy of the school
  • Assist in planning and preparing materials and supplies for the indoor-outdoor space
  • Supervise center activities under the direction of a Lead Teacher
  • Assist with children's needs, including diaper changes, toileting, and changing clothes
  • Assist with classroom activities and projects, including setup and cleanup
  • Monitor and supervise children during playtime, facilitating appropriate activities
  • Consider individual children's cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, treating them with dignity and respect
  • Help children become aware of their role as integral members of a group
  • Assist in planned intergenerational activities, focusing on building relationships across ages
  • Assist in snack preparation and serving
  • Assist children during mealtimes, promoting healthy eating habits and nutritional status
  • Assist the Lead Teacher in ongoing assessment procedures to assess developmental levels
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and professional growth
  • Assist the Director, Lead Teachers, and Assistant Director in parent-staff activities
  • Assist in community events sponsored by the school

Skills and Abilities:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Past experience working with children preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • CPR, First Aid, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
