Job Summary

We are seeking a Part-Time Educational Assistant to join our team at La Posada de Santa Fe. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, dependable, and detail-oriented, with a passion for mentoring and educating others.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing daily programs under the supervision of the Lead Teacher, in accordance with the policies and philosophy of the school.
  • Supervise center activities under the direction of a Lead Teacher, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Consider individual children's cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, treating them with dignity and respect.
  • Help children develop awareness of their role as integral members of a group, promoting teamwork and social skills.
  • Assist in snack preparation and serving, as well as facilitating mealtimes to promote healthy eating habits.
  • Participate in ongoing assessment procedures and portfolio development to assess children's developmental levels and prepare for parent-teacher conferences.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in recommended training programs, conferences, and courses to enhance professional growth.
  • Assist the Director, Lead Teachers, and Assistant Director in parent-staff activities and community events sponsored by the school.
Requirements
  • At least 6 months of experience in childcare.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends and holidays.
