Key Responsibilities- Assist in planning and implementing daily educational programs under the supervision of the Lead Teacher, ensuring alignment with our school's policies and philosophy.
- Help plan and prepare materials and supplies for indoor and outdoor activities.
- Supervise center activities under the direction of a Lead Teacher, promoting a safe and engaging environment for children.
- Consider individual children's cultural and socio-economic backgrounds, treating each child with dignity and respect.
- Help children develop an awareness of their role as integral members of a group.
- Assist in snack preparation and serving, ensuring a healthy and nutritious environment.
- Facilitate children during meal times, promoting good eating habits and a positive dining experience.
- Assist the Lead Teacher in ongoing assessment procedures and portfolio development, assessing developmental levels and preparing for parent-teacher conferences.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth.
- Assist the Director, Lead Teachers, and Assistant Director in parent-staff activities and community events sponsored by the school.
- At least 6 months of experience in childcare.
- Ability to assist children in the bathroom, potty training, or changing diapers.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, depending on other teachers' requests off.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
