Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Anesthesia Nurse Specialist to join our dedicated team. This role involves overseeing the anesthesia process for patients, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients.
- Formulate and implement comprehensive anesthetic care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Administer various types of anesthesia, including monitored anesthesia care, regional, and general anesthesia.
- Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and physiological responses during surgery.
- Manage fluid therapy and invasive monitoring as required.
- Provide post-operative evaluations and care, ensuring a smooth recovery from anesthesia.
- Document all relevant events and patient responses during the anesthesia process, including dosages and types of anesthetic agents used.
- Record post-anesthetic visits, noting any complications or concerns related to anesthesia.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of four years of experience in administering general and regional anesthesia across diverse patient demographics and surgical procedures.
- Clinical competency demonstrated within the last three years.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from a recognized organization.
- A Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Graduation from a program accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA).
Certifications:
Must hold a valid Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA).
Licensure:
Current, unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse anesthetist is required.
