Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Job Overview

As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) at Epic Government, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a skilled and compassionate professional who can manage patient anesthesia experiences, perform preoperative evaluations and preparations, administer monitored anesthesia care, regional and general anesthesia, and monitor and manage patient reactions to anesthesia and surgery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform pre-anesthetic assessments and evaluations of patients
  • Develop and implement anesthetic plans of care
  • Manage patient physiologic homeostasis and correct abnormal responses to anesthesia and/or surgery
  • Collect and interpret patient physiological data
  • Manage patient airway and pulmonary status
  • Record all pertinent events during anesthesia care, including medication administration and patient reactions
Requirements:
  • 4 years of experience in delivering general and regional anesthesia for all ages and types of procedures
  • Clinical competency within the past three years
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association
  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Graduation from an academic program approved by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Programs (COA)
  • Registered Nurse Anesthetist certification from the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA) or the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA)
  • Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a registered nurse anesthetist
