Position Summary

We are in search of an Accountant to enhance our accounting department. This role will focus on managing Accounts Payable tasks while also providing analytical support and ensuring compliance with relevant policies, laws, and internal controls. The position will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills are essential.
  • Results-driven with a proactive approach to responsibilities.
  • Prior experience in accounting is necessary, particularly in roles involving high transaction volumes.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both collaboratively and independently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, and ERP systems (NetSuite).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
  • Willingness to collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information.
  • Capability to identify efficiencies and assist in implementing new processes.
  • Experience in managing and prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely and efficient processing of all Accounts Payable invoices and payments.
  • High-volume invoice entry into NetSuite.
  • Manage weekly payment processing for UPS/FedEx with accurate journal entries.
  • Review payable invoices and statements for accuracy.
  • Engage in vendor correspondence as necessary.
  • Perform general ledger expense coding.
  • Organize and digitize invoices for record-keeping.
  • Maintain a systematic filing system for document retention.
  • Develop a vendor tracking system to ensure accurate monthly accruals.
  • Ensure proper coding of invoices to the correct GL accounts.
  • Prepare and execute weekly check runs.
  • Process ACH, wire, and portal payments.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for invoices when required.
  • Manage email correspondence for approvals and organize content effectively.
  • Conduct inventory reviews and reconciliations.
  • Handle international factory payments and perform landed cost analysis.
Reporting Duties
  • Prepare and record monthly journal entries along with general ledger account analyses.
  • Manage prepaid expenses and fixed assets, including depreciation.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects as assigned.
  • Support the month-end closing process.
  • Oversee inventory management tasks.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
Schedule Requirements
  • Standard Monday to Friday first shift.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods while performing job duties.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 lbs.
