Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Risk Mitigation Program Manager to join our team at Amazon. This role will be responsible for driving strategic projects across business and technical teams, ensuring effective risk mitigation and compliance with regulations.

About the Role

In this role, you will work closely with legal, business, product, operations, science, and engineering teams to develop and implement risk mitigation strategies. You will leverage your deep AML experience to drive large-scale efforts to ensure adherence with regulations.

You will translate high-level requirements into straightforward solutions, often inventing new ones. We are looking for a critical thinker who is also technically adept and thrives on solving challenges in partnership with teams across Amazon.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead Suspicious Activity Monitoring Risk Mitigation team by risk mining transaction monitoring using SQL or Python-based code to identify applicable business and compliance objectives and risks.
  • Suspicious Activity Monitoring controls development using SQL and Python and review control performance.
  • Drive strategic projects across business and technical teams and effectively report to senior Compliance leadership on progress.
  • Assess and communicate risk posture to the senior management, Compliance Officers, legal, and business stakeholders.
  • Work with product, engineering, and analytics teams on development of new solutions to enable compliance at scale.

Requirements

  • Experience with SQL or ETL
  • Experience with reporting and Data Visualization tools such as Quick Sight / Tableau / Power BI or other BI packages
  • Experience writing business requirements documents, functional specifications, and use cases
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience writing complex Excel VBA macros

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of defining and executing against risk mitigation timelines timeline & requirements experience
  • Working cross-functionally with various technical stakeholders - Engineers, Business Analyst, Data Science teams
