Overview

Alexandra Lozano Immigration Law PLLC, a leading law firm specializing in humanitarian immigration law, is seeking an experienced Compliance Attorney to join our rapidly growing law firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal compliance within a large immigration law firm environment.

The Compliance Specialist in immigration law is responsible for ensuring the company's adherence to all relevant immigration regulations and internal policies. This role involves developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs specific to immigration, and providing expert guidance on immigration law matters.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that our law firm operates within the legal boundaries, maintains high ethical standards, and mitigates compliance risks.

This is an onsite role in our office at Tukwila, WA.

Responsibilities:
    • Develop and implement compliance programs and policies related to immigration law.
    • Monitor and ensure adherence to immigration regulations and internal policies.
    • Conduct regular audits and investigations of potential breaches in immigration compliance.
    • Shadow employees to ensure proper implementation of immigration compliance policies.
    • Teach and train employees on immigration compliance procedures and best practices.
    • Lead weekly team meetings, providing research-based answers to Q&A sessions on immigration law.
    • Stay up-to-date with changes in immigration regulations and update policies as necessary.
    • Provide expert advice and guidance on immigration compliance issues to management and staff in various departments.
Qualifications:
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Active membership in good standing with the state bar.
    • Proven experience in legal compliance at a large immigration firm.
    • Strong knowledge of immigration law and compliance regulations.
    • Ability to train and mentor employees on immigration compliance matters.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Salary starts at $120,000 annually, depending on years of experience. A relocation bonus may be available.
