Job Summary:

Dedham Health and Athletic Complex is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Aquatic Programs Manager to oversee all aspects of our aquatic programs. The ideal candidate will ensure a safe, fun, and educational environment for all participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement aquatic programs, including swim lessons, water aerobics, and special events, to meet the needs of our members and community.
  • Supervise and support lifeguards, swim instructors, and other aquatic staff, ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and are properly certified.
  • Monitor pool facilities to ensure they meet safety standards, including water quality and equipment maintenance, to provide a clean and healthy environment for our members.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patron inquiries and resolving any issues related to the aquatic facilities or programs.
  • Assist in managing the budget for aquatic programs, staff scheduling, and facility usage to ensure efficient operations.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the pool area.
  • Be prepared to respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and enforce all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment for our members.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in aquatics or recreation management.
  • Current certifications in Lifeguarding, CPR/AED, and First Aid (required).
  • Water Safety Instructor (WSI) and Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certifications (preferred).
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
