Solar Project Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar Project Manager to join our team at the Research Foundation at City College of New York. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple solar PV construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage multiple solar PV construction projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement solar project strategies, procedures, and optimization plans.
  • Conduct site visits, review site feasibility assessments, and ensure adherence to project protocols and specifications.
  • Make high-level decisions impacting the City's capital budget and construction schedules.
  • Develop and recommend policies and procedures for solar project management, including effective coordination with building trades and contractors.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in energy generation or conservation work, including project management and solar PV installation.
  • Advanced Excel and project management skills, with experience in solar PV data acquisition and performance tracking systems.
  • Excellent relationship management, customer service, and communication skills.
  • NABCEP Certification or equivalent experience.
