Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solar Project Developer to join our team at EDPR. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of solar project development, including regulatory, environmental, real estate, technical, and interconnection due diligence for projects under 20MW AC.

Main Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and project analysis for PV solar rooftop and ground-mounted projects in various states.
  • Produce preliminary feasibility reports, including permit road maps, development budgets, schedules, and risk analyses.
  • Coordinate with engineering, finance, legal, and construction teams to ensure efficient and compliant development of solar projects.
  • Manage consultants, external stakeholders, and developers to ensure project success.
  • Support the structuring, negotiating, and closing of land agreements and tax agreements.
  • Manage budgets, milestones, schedules, and deliverables for development projects.
  • Review and manage application efforts to various solar incentive programs.
  • Ensure development activities are in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience managing the development of multiple solar energy projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Deep knowledge of navigating site development activities, including utility interconnection, permitting, land easements, and environmental studies.
  • Familiarity with the system design process and critical components.
  • Demonstrated success in developing solar PV projects through the full project development lifecycle.
  • Financial planning, budgeting, organizational, and resource management abilities.
  • Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

The ideal candidate will be able to frequently perform physical tasks, including standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, bending, twisting, squatting, and reaching while on project sites. Ability to stand and sit for 8 or more hours when in an office environment.
