About the Role

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Mobile Technician. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and other preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine, transmission, and electrical system problems.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates.
  • Coordinate work schedules and prioritize workload to meet customer needs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
  • Three years or more of relevant work experience in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred.
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
