Restaurant Bar Manager

Job Summary

Troon International is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Bar Manager to join our team. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for ensuring exceptional service and a memorable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead a team of servers, bartenders, and other hospitality staff to provide prompt, efficient, and personalized service to guests.
  2. Act as a liaison between the wait staff and kitchen staff to ensure timely and effective communication.
  3. Ensure the restaurant and bar areas are clean, well-stocked, and organized at all times.
  4. Monitor and maintain all equipment in the restaurant and bar areas, reporting any needed maintenance or repairs to the Director of Food and Beverage.
  5. Assist in coordinating special functions and events.
  6. Assist the Director of Food and Beverage in performing and maintaining food and beverage inventory.
  7. Conduct pre-shift meetings to review specials, menu changes, and house counts.
  8. Assist in the completion of revenue reports, production reports, and other reports as needed.
  9. Perform daily activities, including serving tables, bussing tables, seating guests, room service, and general clerical/cashier duties.
  10. Assist the department manager in interviewing, training, planning, assigning, and directing work.
  11. Address complaints and resolve problems in a professional and courteous manner.
  12. Assist in monitoring business volume forecasts and plan accordingly in areas of manpower, productivity, costs, and other expenses.
  13. Incorporate safe work practices in job performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) and/or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience managing personnel.
  • Alcohol Service Training, Food Safety, and applicable sanitation training.
  • Knowledge of software applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and POS systems.
  • Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, including up and down stairs.
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
