Join Our Team as a Per Diem Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Per Diem Direct Support Professional to join our team at Redwood Family Care Network. As a Per Diem Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities to live a higher quality of life.

About the Role

As a Per Diem Direct Support Professional, you will be responsible for providing support to program participants that meets their needs, promotes community integration, and creates a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment. You will work under the supervision of the Assistant Director and Administrators to ensure that participants receive the highest level of care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support to program participants that meets their needs, promotes community integration, and creates a nurturing, safe, and healthful living environment.
  • Work under the supervision of the Assistant Director and Administrators to ensure that participants receive the highest level of care and support.
  • Assist participants with regularly accessing the community to take part in a variety of outings of the participants' choosing.
  • Ensure that participants are treated with dignity and consideration at all times.
  • Interact with participants, provide informal counseling and problem-solving with participants.
  • Attend staff meetings as required by the Program Supervisor or the Site Supervisor and/or Administrator.
  • Attend training offered/required by the agency, DDA, and other parties.
  • Take part in the development and implementation of the IISP for each participant with whom they work.
  • Provide necessary support and supervision of participants.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with other services providers, the participants' parents/relatives/guardians and other agency staff.
Requirements
  • Both written and spoken English language proficiency required.
  • High School Diploma / Equivalent required.
  • Washington State Driver's License, a Reliable Vehicle, Auto Insurance, and must be willing to transport clients.
  • Must be located in & eligible/authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be willing to undergo a background check, in accordance with local law/regulations.
  • First Aid/CPR Certified (training can be provided).
  • Have an active NAR/HCA/CNA.
  • Have an active CPI certification (preferred).
  • Blood Borne Pathogen (within 120 days of employment, training can be provided).
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Able to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Be fully vaccinated from Covid-19 (or have an approved exemption).
