CNA/Unit Secretary Job Summary

Mason Health is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA/Unit Secretary, you will provide direct and indirect care to patients and their families under the supervision of a registered nurse. Your duties will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, maintaining a safe environment of care, preparing patients for surgery, and providing clerical and administrative assistance as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist RNs and other healthcare providers in implementing the plan of care by performing common procedures and tasks as directed and documenting appropriately.
  • Assist patients in performing Activities of Daily Living (ADL's) with compassion and ensuring privacy and independence to the level the patient is capable.
  • Observe, document, and appropriately report changes in patient activity and/or symptoms.
  • Anticipate patient care needs and conduct patient rounding in accordance with standards.
  • Provide administrative and technical support in the operation of the unit, including clerical duties and customer service.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of WA approved nursing assistant training program.
  • One (1) year of nursing assistant experience, acute care experience preferred.
  • One (1) year of clerical and customer service experience in a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current Nursing Assistant-Certified (NA-C) license in the state of Washington.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or within 180 days of hire.
