Recovery Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Recovery Support Specialist to join our team at the Northwest Indian Treatment Center Inpatient Facility. As a key member of our recovery support team, you will play a vital role in providing patient assessments, developing aftercare plans, and facilitating recovery support services.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with clinical staff and external providers to determine patient aftercare needs.
- Provide training and education to patients and staff on DBT skills and recovery support strategies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with tribal and non-tribal providers and cohorts.
- Organize and facilitate Recovery Coach Academies, Bridge trainings, and Washington State Certified Peer Counselor trainings.
- Provide patient and alumni referrals to supportive services, including behavioral health services, emergency food, clothing, housing, and childcare.
- Conduct follow-up supportive interactions with alumni for a one-year period post-discharge.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and data collection for reporting purposes.
- Must be a certified or licensed Recovery Coach Trainer, WA State Certified Peer Counselor, Bridge Trainer recognized by WA State Health Care Authority, and Agency Affiliated Counselor CG (non-temporary license) as per Department of Health.
- Must be trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy sufficient to provide education for patients.
- Must have a current, valid Washington State Driver's License.
- Must pass a criminal history background check and be insured by the Tribe's insurance carrier.
This position requires frequent overnight travel and the ability to work independently with limited supervision. The employee must be able to lift up to 25 pounds, frequently lift up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds. The work environment is moderate, with occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
