About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Planner II to join our Test Manufacturing group within the Test Equipment Engineering directorate at Raytheon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and leading the acquisition and manufacturing of Test Equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead the acquisition and manufacturing of Test Equipment, resolving issues based on knowledge of engineering design, need, and final intended application.
  • Generate and monitor the progression of multiple requisitions through the procurement cycle, facilitating resolution of procurement issues and ensuring items are delivered to meet customers' schedules.
  • Utilize Engineering Manufacturing Management System (EMMS) to generate work orders, build/maintain indentured build of materials (IBOMS), generate material requisitions, and provide material/work order status to customers.
  • Actively contribute to the design, acquisition, and manufacturing of complex test equipment, including cables, chassis, electro/mechanical fixtures.
  • Participate in engineering design reviews and manage and maintain build configuration and quality history records.
  • Acquire, track, manage material from procurement through final delivery of completed test sets, and assist in resolving manufacturing issues and overseeing delivery of final products to internal/external customers.
Requirements
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of two years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings related to electrical instrumentation, assemblies, cables, chassis, electro-mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering lab environment area.
  • Experience with material procurement.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working with test equipment or prototype engineering hardware.
  • Experience maintaining configuration control of products and drawings.
  • Experience interfacing directly with customers in an engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software and database applications.
  • Exposure to the design, use, and fabrication of electrical instrumentation.
  • Experience dealing with supply chain and material obsolescence issues.
