Key Responsibilities of a Freight Broker

In the role of Freight Broker at Riverside Logistics, you will be instrumental in overseeing the transportation of goods by connecting carriers with loads. Your duties will encompass negotiating competitive freight rates, generating necessary documentation, and tracking shipment progress. You will serve as the primary contact for carriers, ensuring timely deliveries and effectively addressing any issues that may arise. Your meticulous attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction will be vital in managing freight claims and ensuring smooth operations. Qualifications for Success

To thrive as a Freight Broker at Riverside Logistics, candidates should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a preference for a BS/BA College Degree. Ideal candidates will possess three to five years of experience in the Transportation Industry and familiarity with Transportation Management Systems, with TIA Certified Transportation Broker certification being advantageous. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective interaction with carriers and clients.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is required for report generation and maintaining accurate records.
