Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director of Finance and Research Administration to join our team at Harvard University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all grants administration and financial activities for the Department of Psychology.

The Associate Director of Finance and Research Administration will oversee budgets for all funds awarded through OSP and financial statements prepared by OSP before submission to granting agencies. They will also implement new financial policy and procedures, manage grants managers and financial staff, and review equipment purchases to ensure prior approval from the agency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all grants administration and financial activities for the Department of Psychology
  • Oversee budgets for all funds awarded through OSP and financial statements prepared by OSP before submission to granting agencies
  • Implement new financial policy and procedures
  • Manage grants managers and financial staff
  • Review equipment purchases to ensure prior approval from the agency
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • A minimum of 7 years relevant work experience
  • Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent organizational, logistical, and time management capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot using creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and sound judgment
