Research Data Analyst II

Under the close supervision of the manager of the Revenue Analysis Unit of the Economic and Statistical Research Bureau, the Revenue Analyst develops revenue impact estimates for proposed legislative changes to the California Personal Income and Corporation tax codes using the proposed bill language and determining the data sources that best address the issue. The Revenue Analyst researches tax issues, gathers and analyzes data, and draws sound conclusions. In addition, the Revenue Analyst develops revenue estimates for special requests from internal and external customers. The Revenue Analyst is responsible for meeting timelines for bill hearings, communicating effectively and preparing clear, complete, and concise reports.
Additional Responsibilities- This position is eligible for remote-working within California based on departmental guidelines and operational need. FTB has a minimum in-office requirement of two days per week for all positions including those that are eligible for telework.

RequirementsThe position requires the following qualifications:
