Job Title: Research Data Specialist II
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Research Data Specialist II to join our team at the Department of Transportation. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, evaluating, and interpreting complex data from various sources, and providing sound recommendations to management through data analysis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain new and existing data collection systems and databases for the Office of State Program (OSP).
- Assist with the continued development and implementation of policies, programs, and reporting to comply with Federal and State laws related to these programs.
- Analyze situations and apply laws, policies, and practices in developing balanced solutions with stakeholders as it relates to data.
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, including the use of data visualization tools.
Requirements:
- Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state-owned or leased vehicle.
- Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) required.
Working Conditions:
The incumbent works in front of a computer system under artificial light in an office setting with long periods of working in a sitting or standing position. This position may be eligible for telework.
Special Requirements:
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple assignments simultaneously, learn new tasks quickly with little or no formal training, and be responsive to stakeholders and management.
