Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service Advisor. As a key member of our sales and service team, you will be responsible for building long-term relationships with customers in a defined territory, maximizing company profitability and market share.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell machine maintenance and repair services, repair parts, extended warranties, whole good attachments, and other approved products to customers in your territory.
  • Maintain basic technical knowledge of RDO Equipment Co. products and services, providing technical assistance where applicable.
  • Use company-provided systems and tools to document, track, record, and follow up on sales activity in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Represent the company for the sale of Product Support to customers in your defined sales area, with a focus on being out in the field versus in the office.
  • Maintain product knowledge, understanding features and benefits of all products and services potentially saleable by the company.
  • Stay aware of competitive activity and trends in the industry.
  • Maintain current and complete sales management information for all customers in your assigned territory, as directed by your manager.
  • Test and operate machinery at customer work sites, following all safety rules and regulations.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner in the presence of customers and the community, presenting a positive image of RDO Equipment Co.
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance your knowledge base and skill set.
  • Participate in company-driven communication efforts, including open book meetings, huddles, department meetings, and other related efforts.
  • Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years' experience in an industry-related role with involvement in sales, service, training, or other related work.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Candidates must have valid work authorization and be able to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
