Position Overview:

The Subterranean Equipment Technician will be responsible for accessing designated locations to install, maintain, and repair telecommunications infrastructure. This role demands a solid understanding of telecommunications construction practices, as well as familiarity with excavation machinery, utility lines, and poles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform both low-level and high-level labor-intensive tasks while operating assigned construction machinery.
  • Complete daily production reports to accurately document work activities.
  • Utilize hand tools, ladders, and equipment to facilitate the completion of assigned projects.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tools, equipment, and workspaces to comply with safety standards.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, and saws.
  • Experienced in operating telecommunications construction equipment including aerial lifts and dozers.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment drug screening and background checks.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

The ideal candidate must be capable of kneeling, crawling, and working comfortably in confined spaces for extended durations, utilizing repetitive and fine motor skills. Work is conducted both indoors and outdoors under various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation, as well as in rugged terrains. The role may require lifting and handling equipment weighing up to 75 pounds. Noise levels can vary from moderate to loud, and the position may involve extensive travel.
