We are excited to present an opportunity with a distinguished organization seeking a Maintenance Manager. This privately owned and expanding manufacturer has established itself as a leader in the North American market, boasting a diverse portfolio of over 20 brand names.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

Demonstrated capability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team of maintenance specialists. Skilled in cultivating a cooperative and encouraging workplace, establishing clear performance objectives, and driving initiatives for continuous improvement to enhance team productivity and operational effectiveness.

Safety Management:

  • Supervise the safety performance of all maintenance operations conducted by internal teams and external contractors.
  • Ensure the safe functioning of all equipment and machinery.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within manufacturing operations; experience in the metals sector is advantageous.
  • Proven success in improving operational efficiency and maximizing equipment uptime.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to implement projects within set parameters.
  • Strong leadership and influencing capabilities.
  • Experience with PLC and robotic automation technologies.
  • Adept at collaborating with Production Supervisors to identify and resolve bottlenecks, enhancing production output.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Scope of Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the maintenance of all assets and equipment across operational sectors.
  • Manage and operate plant utilities and shared infrastructure (electrical distribution, gas, water, compressed air), along with industrial control systems and IT frameworks.
  • Supervise spare parts warehouse management.
  • Manage contractors and ensure adherence to maintenance standards.
  • Evaluate and select technology for new equipment and growth initiatives in collaboration with support teams.
  • Plan and execute CAPEX projects.
  • Develop and implement growth and enhancement projects.
  • Oversee and comply with the Maintenance budget, including growth and sustaining CAPEX.

Educational Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field or 5 years of hands-on experience with increasing responsibilities; or a combination of education and experience.
