Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Planner to join our team at Jacobs. As an Intermediate Level Environmental Planner, you will play a key role in supporting fast-paced energy infrastructure maintenance and replacement projects, advancing our clients' environmental stewardship, energy infrastructure modernization, and sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and lead tasks and deliverables with multiple technical leads and stakeholders.
  • Prepare environmental documentation for fast-paced utility projects.
  • Foster relationships with large project teams, clients, client contractor staff, and third-party consultants.
  • Represent Jacobs during project meetings and provide status updates, track action items, and identify potential risks to project schedules.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Urban, Regional or Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Natural Resources or other related technical area.
  • At least 2 years of experience in environmental planning and coordination.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in environmental planning and coordination.
  • Previous experience providing land planning and permitting support/coordination for linear utility projects in California.
  • Previous experience attending field meetings and an understanding of general Health and Safety protocols/requirements for engaging in field work.
