Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with patients to gather necessary information for processing prescriptions, refills, and benefit access, while fostering strong customer relationships.
  • Verify and investigate benefits for pharmacy and medical claims, collaborating with financial assistance teams as needed.
  • Manage prior authorization requests, ensuring accuracy and timely follow-up with insurance providers.
  • Facilitate the appeals process between patients, physicians, and insurance companies, drafting clinical appeal letters as required.
  • Ensure all necessary clinical documentation is collected prior to submission of appeals.
  • Conduct status checks with insurance companies regarding prior authorizations and appeals.
  • Report and escalate service issues related to authorizations and financial assistance to ensure patient access.
  • Complete assessments mandated by contracts and assist with patient enrollment in manufacturer programs.
  • Provide information to patients regarding financial assistance programs and community resources.
  • Submit electronic applications for financial assistance on behalf of patients and follow up on their status.
  • Maintain detailed records of case activities and communications in the system.
  • Adhere to regulatory requirements and organizational standards to ensure high-quality service delivery.
