Job Summary

SAIC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Capture Manager to lead growth and capture initiatives within the Space and Intelligence Business Group. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in capture management, business development, and strategic engagement, with a proven track record of success in driving business growth and capturing new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and Qualify Opportunities

The Senior Capture Manager will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and directing initial capture activities to support the Space Business Group growth objectives. This will involve conducting market research, analyzing customer needs, and developing effective capture plans to secure new business opportunities.

Lead USSF Strategic Engagements

The successful candidate will lead USSF strategic engagements and shape growth strategies to achieve Space Business Group goals for Defense Space new business awards as a space system integrator. This will involve developing and executing effective capture plans, managing capture teams, and collaborating with subject matter experts and functional leads to deliver high-quality proposals.

Develop and Execute Capture Plans

The Senior Capture Manager will be responsible for developing and executing effective capture plans, including strategy development, competitive assessments, teaming and price-to-win strategies, and proposal development. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Manage Capture Teams

The successful candidate will manage capture teams, including providing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure that capture plans are executed effectively. This will involve communicating resource needs, leveraging resources assigned, and collaborating with subject matter experts and functional leads to deliver high-quality proposals.

Conduct Competitive Assessments

The Senior Capture Manager will conduct competitive assessments to evaluate probable competition and assess relative strengths and threats. This will involve conducting black-hat analyses, competitive scenarios, and other assessments to inform capture plans and proposal development.

Develop and Execute Proposal Development

The successful candidate will develop and execute proposal development plans, including translating requirements into robust win strategies, carefully testing and validating win strategies, and advancing strategy to management and technical design with strong value propositions and differentiated bid elements.

Collaborate with Internal Teams and External Partners

The Senior Capture Manager will collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to sustain operational excellence, resolve conflicts, and achieve customer satisfaction. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Identify Gaps and Develop Strategies

The successful candidate will identify gaps and develop strategies to overcome weaknesses and mitigate risks. This will involve conducting gap analyses, developing discriminators and differentiators, and working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Conduct Gate, Pricing, Teaming, and Capture Reviews

The Senior Capture Manager will conduct gate, pricing, teaming, and capture reviews, including leading and documenting lessons learned. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Execute Teaming Strategies and Negotiate Teaming Agreements

The successful candidate will execute teaming strategies and negotiate teaming agreements and strategic alliances. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Manage Assigned Captures

The Senior Capture Manager will manage assigned captures, including driving development and completion of critical bid artifacts required for proposal development. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Assume Accountability for Advancing and Maturing Opportunities

The successful candidate will assume accountability for advancing and maturing opportunities toward high win probability, managing to budget and schedules. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 18 Years of Capture Management or Related Business Experience

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 18 years of capture management or related business experience in the Civil/Commercial and/or Space sector. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Must be a US Citizen

The successful candidate must be a US citizen. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Must be Able to Obtain a TS Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to obtain a TS clearance. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Bachelor's Degree or Higher in Relevant Business, Technical, or Professional Field of Study

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant business, technical, or professional field of study. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Extensive Knowledge, Experience, and Success in Capture Process

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge, experience, and success in the capture process, including demonstrable understanding of all contract types (non-IDIQ, IDIQ - single or multiple award contracts), as well as payment types (e.g., FFP, T&M, cost plus). This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Ability to Work and Execute a Quick Reaction Process for Proposals

The successful candidate will have the ability to work and execute a quick reaction process for proposals with 30-day response times and Task Order identification, customer engagement, and Task Order proposal response. This will involve working closely with capture teams, subject matter experts, and functional leads to ensure that capture plans are aligned with business objectives and customer needs.

Ability to Influence Constructively and Interact at the Highest Levels of the Corporate Structure
