Position Overview:

Oversee the environmental initiatives to guarantee adherence to all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as environmental permit stipulations, while striving to meet sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise all aspects of the environmental program, including air quality, wastewater management, stormwater control, stream discharge, spill prevention and remediation, solid waste reduction and disposal, hazardous waste management, and radiation safety.
- Engage with Federal, State, and Local authorities, legislative entities, industry associations, legal advisors, and other professional organizations.
- Prepare and secure essential environmental permits, collaborating with consultants and agency representatives to negotiate favorable permit conditions for the organization.
- Ensure the precise and timely completion of all necessary compliance documentation.
- Monitor and document adherence to permit conditions through sampling, data collection, and record maintenance.
- Support the formulation, execution, and monitoring of sustainability and decarbonization initiatives.
- Assist with radiation detection systems and material acceptance protocols.
- Provide training, support, and direction to team members to uphold compliance with environmental program standards.
- Collaborate with environmental colleagues across various divisions and the corporate headquarters.

Qualifications:

Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Experience in the environmental sector, ideally within an industrial or regulatory framework.
- Strong organizational, documentation, and record-keeping capabilities.

Preferred:
- Prior experience in a related environmental role.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including regulatory bodies.
- Proficient knowledge of Excel.
