Data Center Engineer

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a highly skilled Data Center Engineer to join our team. As a Data Center Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the overall availability and reliability of our data centers.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, with experience in data center operations and maintenance. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues related to electrical and mechanical systems, as well as ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise contractors performing maintenance and repairs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including filter changes and battery system PMs
- Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events
- Ensure all personnel on-site follow safety protocols
- Work on-call and rotating schedules as needed
- Take daily operational readings and provide metrics reporting to senior engineers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ years of data center or mission critical facilities experience
- 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
- 2+ years of data center engineering experience
- Knowledge of BMS and EPMS control systems and data collection/trending
- Knowledge of maintenance management software
