Job Summary:

Samtec is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a Process Engineering Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and develop best practices within the production process.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement chemical and mechanical polishing processes to improve glass core technology and maintain reliable and safe manufacturing systems.
* Ensure processes function at optimum cost, quality, and capacity, and drive continuous improvement using structured DOE and process window experiments.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement long-term improvement programs.
* Manage cost and time constraints of projects, and lead teams in the creation of process failure mode and effects analysis (PFMEA).

Requirements:

* 5+ years of post-bachelors experience in process engineering for the semiconductor field.
* 3+ years of experience applying CMP and solving problems.
* Microsoft 365 background and proficiency in engineering software such as Solidworks, AutoCad, JMP, and Minitab.
* Six Sigma background or training, and excellent hands-on diagnostic, troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Education:

* B.S. or B.A. in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
