Job Summary

The Credit Officer II plays a crucial role in the bank's lending process, responsible for analyzing credit requests and providing accurate, clear, and concise written credit reports. This position requires prior experience and expertise in credit analysis, with a strong understanding of financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow analysis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with and stay up-to-date on all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to external and internal customers.
  • Review credit requests for completeness and accuracy.
  • Evaluate credit requests and formulate questions to complete the Report of Credit Extended (RCE).
  • Prepare accurate, clear, and concise RCEs.
  • Refer complex credit requests to other bank departments as needed.
  • Discuss credit requests with branch personnel and Credit Management Division.
  • Assist and train junior credit officers to improve their understanding of the credit analysis process.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, a minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

You should possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

A strong understanding of financial concepts, including discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, is also essential.

Work Environment

The work environment is typically moderate, with occasional requirements to sit, talk, or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
