We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Vision Care Specialist to join our team at MACT Health Board Inc. in Mariposa, California. As a Vision Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality eye care services to our patients.

**About the Role:**

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to work in a dynamic healthcare environment. You will be responsible for performing routine eye examinations, including field tests, determining each patient's visual acuity, field of vision and hand-eye coordination, and taking detailed medical histories of all patients.

You will analyze reports and findings of tests and examinations and diagnose conditions. Additionally, you will administer or prescribe treatment and medication to patients, promoting health by advising patients concerning eye health and medical conditions that affect eye health.

As a member of our team, you will also have the opportunity to refer patients to board-certified ophthalmologists when required for more holistic eye care. You will report births, deaths, and outbreaks of contagious diseases to appropriate government agencies.

**Key Responsibilities:**

**Requirements:**

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess a current California license to practice optometry and a current DEA narcotic license. You should also have a current CPR or Advanced Life Support certificate and pass Occupational Health Screening.

In addition, you must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, sit, climb, or balance for extended periods. You should also be able to use hands to finger, grasp, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear within normal range.

**Estimated Salary:** $130,270 - $156,790 per annum.
