This role is crucial for overseeing the activities related to the design, construction, upkeep, and installation of manufacturing processes, as well as enhancing the reliability and maintenance of the facility's physical infrastructure and production equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees budgeting and planning for maintenance, including monthly performance reports and project management.
  • Directs the design, setup, and automation of vendor systems and equipment, including cost estimates and installation plans.
  • Establishes operational parameters for PLCs, sensors, automation, electrical systems, and other related technologies.
  • Responsible for training personnel on operational and maintenance systems.
  • Manages the upkeep of facility systems, including spare parts inventory, retrofitting, and system upgrades for reliability.
  • Oversees fire safety, environmental controls, and energy management systems.
  • Assists in planning for the SAP Maintenance Module and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develops maintenance strategies aimed at enhancing productivity, reliability, and safety standards.
  • Leads maintenance teams in troubleshooting equipment, systems, and spare parts issues.
  • Supervises external contractors, consultants, and internal teams during project execution.
  • Collaborates with department heads to ensure successful completion of site projects.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
  • Participates in planning for capital expenditures.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing facility or maintenance engineering.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing work teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor.
  • Familiarity with high-temperature processing equipment, web converting, milling machinery, and 3D CAD/CAM technologies.
  • Hands-on management and process engineering experience is essential.
  • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies, Lean Manufacturing principles, and quality systems such as QS and ISO.
  • Experience with environmental regulations and OSHA compliance is advantageous.
