Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of roads and other infrastructure assets, including pressure washing and painting services.
- Set up and remove traffic control devices, including barrels, message/arrow boards, and temporary signage.
- Operate a variety of equipment, including bucket trucks, scaffolding, ladders, and aerial platforms lifts.
- Transport crew and equipment to work sites, operating large trucks and specialized motor vehicles and trailers.
- Contribute to a diverse, inclusive, and fair work environment, free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment.
- Carry out all duties in line with Company policies and procedures.
- Prepare and paint sound walls, retaining walls, retaining wall coping, bridge abutments, and barrier walls, including surface preparation, high-pressure washing, and painting.
- Perform pressure washing and painting services at facilities, including landings, ladders, gangways, poles, piping, grating, tunnel equipment, and areas on ferry vessels.
- Prepare and paint ramp/toll plaza(s), including sweeping and debris/litter removal, cleaning and painting of curbs, traffic islands, gator heads, and columns, and high-pressure washing and painting of miscellaneous areas.
- Pressure wash bridge abutments, bent caps, and bridge joints, including removing debris and vegetation, and inspecting and pressure washing roadway/bridge/tunnel joints.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year of work experience in infrastructure, maintenance, and repair, or one year of work experience in high volume commercial or residential painting and power washing.
- A valid driver's license and a good driving record are required to drive a company vehicle.
- CDL and DOT certifications are highly desirable.
- Ability to pass and obtain Advanced MOT Certification.
The employee is regularly exposed to traffic and outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high precarious places, fume or airborne particles, and toxic or caustic chemicals. The employee is required to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted. Use manual and powered pneumatic, hydraulic, gas, and electric powered tools and equipment. Vision abilities include both close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Ability to pass fit test for respirator as required. Ability to work at heights. Ability to work in confined spaces.
