Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paint Line Exit End Operator to join our team at BlueScope Coated Products. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our paint line exit section, including speed, steering, and tension adjustments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and adjust line tension and drive systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inspect the strip surface for defects and identify areas for improvement.
  • Safely cut and discharge finished coils from the exit section of the paint line.
  • Quarantine defective product and notify Quality Control of non-conforming conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal personnel to resolve problems and achieve company goals.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills and good communication skills.
  • Ability to read and comprehend safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Work Environment:

  • Work in a fast-paced production environment with moving mechanical parts and occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals.
  • Adverse working conditions may be present.
