Physician Assistant, Plastic Surgery Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Plastic Surgery team at Boston Children's Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages and with all types of conditions.
Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages and with all types of conditions
- Elicit histories, perform examinations, and perform/interpret diagnostic studies
- Perform therapeutic procedures, instruct and counsel patients about their diagnosis
- Facilitate the appropriate referral of patients, consistent with his or her supervising physician's scope of expertise and responsibility and delegated to him/her by the supervising physician
- Perform and/or assist with intravenous sedations in the office-based setting
- Provide all aspects of pre-operative and post-operative care, as well as first or second assisting during surgery
- A Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies
- A current MA state License as a Physician Assistant
- One year of PA experience in the clinical and operating room settings and well as a strong interest in and understanding of the Plastic and Oral Surgery disciplines, preferred
- Strong analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application of clinical, scientific or technical principles, theories and concepts and in-depth, cross-functional experience-based knowledge
- Strong communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and medicated fair solutions, and well-developed writing skills
