Wound Care Registered Nurse

The St. David's South Austin Medical Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Wound Care Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team. As a Certified Wound & Ostomy Specialist, you will provide exceptional care to patients with complex wound and ostomy needs.
As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans that optimize patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with wound and ostomy needs, identifying areas for improvement and developing targeted interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients and their families.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting self-management and independence.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure seamless transitions between levels of care.
- Stay current with best practices in wound and ostomy care, participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from an accredited institution.
- A current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact RN license.
- Credentialed by the Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) as a Certified Wound & Ostomy Specialist (CWOCN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
