Position Overview:

We are in search of a Substance Abuse Counselor Aide to contribute to our mission at StateJobsNY. This role necessitates either two years of pertinent experience or an associate's degree in a relevant human services discipline. The preferred candidate should possess excellent communication abilities and be registered as a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in New York State.

  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions
  • Ensure patient safety and well-being
  • Perform regular rounds and document findings
  • Complete necessary client paperwork
  • Assist in meal preparation and serving
  • Relay shift change details
  • Handle insurance inquiries and documentation
