Role Responsibilities:

The position of Shelter Advocate entails supporting the implementation of our services at the Anew Center. This role is crucial in assisting residents within our Domestic Violence and Rape Crisis Programs.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and basic needs of residents are prioritized
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming shelter environment
  • Respond to hotline inquiries and provide crisis support
  • Complete necessary documentation and service reports
  • Engage in ongoing training and development
  • Provide transportation for clients when required
  • Follow established safety protocols
  • Uphold client confidentiality at all times
  • Communicate effectively with management

Required Qualifications:

  • Completion of mandated training programs
  • Possession of a valid driver's license
  • Proficient computer skills for managing data
  • Physical capability to perform job duties
