Human Resources Specialist

Ball-Chatham School District is seeking a skilled Human Resource Generalist to join their District Office HR team.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, collaborative, and dependable HR professional with a strong background in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist the Director of Human Resources with daily HR functions, including hiring processes, recruiting, and pre-interviewing staff.
- Manage human resource information systems (HRIS) and maintain electronic and paper personnel files.
- Administer pay, benefits, and leave, and enforce company policies and practices.
- Recruit, screen, and pre-interview job applicants, and facilitate the hiring process.
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave, performance and talent management, productivity, recognition, and morale, occupational health and safety, and training and development.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors.
- Compile and analyze data, and provide reporting and metrics to senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Three+ years of HR experience.
- SHRM-CP or HRCI-PHR certification, or willingness and ability to obtain one within 2 years of hire.
- Ability to pass fingerprint criminal background check.
- Experience using Skyward SMS and Skyward PAC.
- Proficiency with Google Suite of applications.
