Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Enterprise Architect to join our Data and Insights Service team at Autodesk. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and building the systems and services that power our data infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyze data requirements to meet the needs of our AEC/MFG product data infrastructure
  • Guide teams to implement thread modeling best practices into architecture
  • Implement procedures and best practices for SOC2 certification
  • Build resiliency in the Data and Insights service
  • Shape the components, relationships, and governing principles that define the architecture of our AEC/MFG data & Insights systems
  • Design, document, and support implementation of complex system architectures, databases, and processing systems
  • Collaborate with other software architects and disciplines to develop strategic solutions to handle complex problems
  • Create trustworthy technology by ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications and architectures
  • Articulate and collaborate on proposed software designs using views, diagrams, etc.
  • Maintain and apply expert-level, up-to-date knowledge of relevant architectural patterns and technologies
  • Work with peers throughout Autodesk to understand our technology landscape and challenges, articulate opportunities, and promote change
  • Lead re-use of platform capabilities and drive contributions to the Autodesk platform
  • Explain and present technical topics to varied audiences, including senior leadership
  • Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and management of SOC2 compliance across our data and insights platforms
  • Develop and maintain the architecture roadmap that aligns with business goals, ensuring security and compliance are integrated into the design of data systems
  • Establish and enforce data governance policies that ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across the organization
  • Identify and mitigate security risks in data handling, processing, and storage
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years of experience as a Software Architect or similar role in data-intensive cloud environments
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise architecture with a focus on SOC2 compliance and data-oriented systems
  • Experience with cloud services, database architecture, AI/ML, big data tools, and frameworks
  • Strong understanding of data management and data processing principles
  • Experience in implementing SOC2 process and data security principles
  • Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture
  • Mastery of taking complex ideas and conveying them in a concise and impactful manner
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation abilities to effectively communicate software architecture strategy to a variety of stakeholders
