About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Interoperability Developer II to join our team at UnityPoint Health. As a key member of our healthcare technology team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining healthcare interfaces to ensure seamless data exchange between various systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HL7 interfaces using the interface engine, ensuring consistent and easy-to-maintain workflows.
  • Implement new interfaces and make changes to existing systems within a multifunctional project team, including project planning, requirements definition, detailed design, testing cycles, go-live events, and stabilization support.
  • Resolve incidents with assigned applications that integrate with many other systems, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Monitor, maintain, and ensure the availability of supported interfaces as appropriate.
  • Manage and maintain infrastructure components that support the interface environment.
  • Provide day and evening on-call coverage as scheduled.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in structured programming, application development, or report writing experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft.NET framework and MS SQL Server Database preferred.
  • Broad knowledge base and skill level in computer application methodology and multi-platform systems to automate healthcare business practices.
  • Knowledge of HL7 standards and development, with ability to develop file transfer scripts.
  • Exhibits technical management and problem resolution skills, with outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with ability to work as a team member and create effective working relationships.
