Early Childhood Educator at UC Irvine

Key Responsibilities:
Under the guidance of the director, the incumbent will assist in overseeing the daily operations within a licensed childcare setting, catering to children aged 2 to 5 years. Key duties include:
- Designing and implementing engaging curricula and outdoor activities.
- Supporting the supervision of practicum and field study students.

Compensation:
In addition to a competitive salary range of $24.88 - $28.27 per hour, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that may include medical insurance, paid time off, retirement savings plans, and various employee discounts.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a child development team, engaging with children, parents, staff, and community members to deliver a high-quality educational experience.
- Demonstrated nurturing and supportive demeanor when interacting with children.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with children and adults.
- Experience in a center-based environment working with preschool-aged children.
- Knowledge of federal and state health and safety regulations applicable to childcare facilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of child development principles and early childhood education methodologies.
- Familiarity with NAEYC Accreditation Criteria.
- Ability to plan, organize, and implement a stimulating developmental and instructional program for preschoolers.
- Insight into the developmental needs of children aged 2 to 5.
- Expertise in selecting appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, language, social, and cognitive growth.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Current California Child Development Program permit at the teacher level or higher.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in licensed center-based childcare settings.

- Compliance with immunization requirements as mandated by Community Care Licensing.
